Good to Excellent Condition of this US Navy "Pymouth" Bayonet so-called because it was first used on the USS Plymouth. Has a great aged patina. Measurements: 26.5" total length, 21 3/4" blade. All cast brass ribbed grip with handsome aged patina, rifle-bayonet locking mechanism works. Markings: Stamped "3460" on flat block plate. Initials "F.C.W." stamped on pommel. Almost indecipherable manufacture mark remnant of "COLLINS" |

Good to Very Good Condition of this US Navy "Dahlgren" Bowie Bayonet so-called because it was named after Admiral Dahlgren who designed this weapon. Has a great aged patina. Measurements: weighs almost two pounds! 16.5 inches overall with a very rugged 12 inch, single edge, clip point blade that is 1 5.8 inches wide! Cast brass and wooden grip with a handsome aged patina. The rifle-bayonet locking mechanism is broken and missing the locking clip, however the number 36 shows stamped into the brass below where the locking clip should have been! Markings include: U.S.N, D.R. and 1863 on the obverse side of the blade. Ames Co, Chicopee, Mass lightly stamped on the reverse side. Inspector initials "DR" in script and stamped onto the rear of the pommel. Blade is slightly pitted with no excessive damage. Pommel as is typical has been used in the far past to pound something. |

Has a great aged patina to grip and blade which is in excellent condition. Measurements: 24.75" total length, 20" blade. Cast brass fish scale grip, rifle-bayonet locking mechanism works perfectly. Markings include: U.S.N, D.R. and 1863 on the obverse side of the blade. Ames Co, Chicopee, Mass lightly stamped on the reverse side. Inspector initials in script stamped onto the rear of the pommel. Blade is slightly pitted with no damage, pommel has been used in the past to pound something. |

Very Good to Excellent Condition. Nothing missing or torn - intact belt loop and fastening tab ! Stamped on the front: "Navy Yard NY, 1863, with 2 Anchors". Carried by Naval Gunners whose job it was to insert the primer or fuse into the artillery shell just prior to firing. |
